Terms of Sale for Nucs & Packages:
*All orders of any live bees that have been pre-paid for are non-refundable. Bees are part of the agricultural system and are an essential business and does not shut down. Nucs, Packages and Queens have already been produced by the beekeeper and the orders cannot be cancelled or refunded. Business will go on as usual and bee pick ups will still happen. We will look at our bee pick up arrangements and make sure they take place in the safest manner possible. Thank you.
Packaged Bees and Nucs and the risk of loss of the package and queen it contains or nuc become the responsibility of the customer at the time of pick up. Packaged Bees are guaranteed to contain 3 or more pounds (unless otherwise specified in product description) of bees when the package is prepared and will not have more than one inch of dead bees (when spread evenly across the bottom of the package) upon customer pickup. Once a package of bees becomes the responsibility of the purchaser, there is no further responsibility of Hungry Bear Farms, as the package was inspected at the time of pickup and found to meet the requirements laid out above.
If you find an issue with your Nuc, Hungry Bear Farms must be notified within 7 calendar days of the issue. It is Hungry Bear Farms policy that any Nuc that an issue is found in, be returned to Hungry Bear Farms in the same manner in which the Nuc was provided to the purchaser within 3 calendar days of notifying Hungry Bear Farms of said issue. It will be at the sole discretion of Hungry Bear Farms on how to address any issue outside of the policy laid out above. You understand that Hungry Bear Farms cannot guarantee the successful establishment of the package bees or nucs or queens. You agree that you will not attempt to hold Hungry Bear Farms responsible for whatever may happen to your package or nuc or queen after it is delivered to you or for the survival or productivity of the hive that you may establish from the package or nuc.
Queens are guaranteed to be alive upon pick up but are not guaranteed to be successfully introduced to or will be accepted by your hive. Many factors influence queen introduction success, particularly the specific methods and apicultural techniques you employ when introducing a queen. You also agree that Hungry Bear Farms will not be responsible for queen survival in your hive, or for the condition or productivity of your hive after introduction. Queens and risk of their loss become the responsibility of the customer at the time of pick up.

I purchased this to begin beekeeping this spring, and I couldn't be happier. The products are well made and I absolutely love the book that comes with it, it's extremely useful. When we picked up the purchase the owner was so friendly and offered to answer any questions we may have had. I will absolutely continue to support Hungry Bear and thank you for your amazing business and products!
